iPhone Antenna Troubles Highlight Apple's Brand Challenge

On 16 July 2010, Apple held a press conference to address reports of antenna problems with its iPhone 4. CEO Steve Jobs emphasised that signal reception is a "challenge for the whole industry" and offered a free case to alleviate the problem to every purchaser of an iPhone 4. To claim the case, owners must apply through the Apple Web site from 22 July. Cases will be offered until 30 September 2010. Apple also offered to provide full refunds to consumers within 30 days of purchase.
