Vodafone unveils new data tariffs and offers new services including update to Live!

Vodafone has announced a suite new mobile data tariffs, new services and an update to its mobile portal, Vodafone Live!

The UK market will be amongst the first to offer this new package. The headline tariff is £7.50 per month which allows you up to 120 megabytes (MB) of data transfer during that period.

In addition to the new tariffs it was also announced that Vodafone Live! is being substantially updated to offer a more user friendly experience and broader access to “off portal” web services. Vodafone has also implemented a network rendering engine that repurposes standard web content optimising it for a mobile phone browser.

A new email client known as “MyMail” is being launched. Several new “on-board” applications will be available on some phones to support partnerships with web players such as eBay and Google Maps announced in February 2007 at the 3GSM World Congress Event (see CCS Insight Hotline 2007-07: 3GSM Event Report).
