Vodafone makes surprise move and partners with Nokia to support Ovi Services

Vodafone and Nokia have agreed to launch an integrated suite of Vodafone services combined with Nokia’s Ovi platform on a range of Nokia handsets.

Vodafone customers will have access to Ovi including maps (Nokia Maps) and Games (Nokia N-Gage). The Nokia music store will also be available to Vodafone subscribers and will co-exist with Vodafone’s current music offerings.

As part of the agreement Vodafone will have access to a number of exclusive Nokia handsets during 2008.
