On 28 April 2010, Vodafone unveiled nine new handsets in its own-brand portfolio. The Vodafone 845 is the operator's first own-brand Android device. Featuring a 2.8-inch screen, three-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi and Android version 2.1, the device will be preloaded with Vodafone 360 applications. The Vodafone 546 is a qwerty phone for emerging markets. The Vodafone 543 has a 2.4-inch touch screen and exchangeable covers; the Vodafone 547 has a 2.8-inch touch screen.
Vodafone's 246 is a candy-bar device with FM radio, vibration alert and torch. The 247 Solar features a solar charging panel, and the 248 adds a slider model to this range of ultralow-cost devices. The Vodafone 345 Text and 350 Messaging are ultralow-cost qwerty devices; the 350 Messaging offers WAP access to picture messages and e-mail.
The Vodafone 543, 546 and 547 come with Opera Mini. They are some of the first fruits of an agreement announced on 7 April 2010 to offer a customised version of Opera's low-bandwidth browser on a range of Vodafone devices aimed at developing markets.
