Third-Quarter Weakness Overshadows Healthy Outlook for Nokia

On 5 September 2008, Nokia announced that it expected "its mobile device market share in the third quarter 2008 to be lower than in the second quarter 2008". The company had previously indicated in its 2Q08 results that its market share in 3Q08 would be at about the same level sequentially. Nokia emphasised that it still expects to increase its market share for the full year.
