Sony Ericsson to acquire UIQ from Symbian

News: 

Sony Ericsson has announced that it plans to purchase Swedish software company UIQ Technology which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Symbian. Sony Ericsson has been a long time licensee of UIQ.

The company will continue to operate as a separate business subsidiary of Sony Ericsson and UIQ (running on Symbian) will still be available to other licensees.
