Sony Ericsson announces new flagship camera and music phones extending portfolio

Sony Ericsson revealed a suite of new phones and accessories at a major launch event in Berlin. Products included:
- Z250 and Z320: Entry level (sub €100) clamshell phones. The Z320 is designed to compliment the Cyber-shot product portfolio offering a low cost “snapshot” phone with a 1.3 mega-pixel (MP) camera. Both will be available in Q3 2007.
- K530: “Affordable” 3G WCDMA candy bar phone with a 2 MP camera which is 14 mm thick and includes an M2 memory card slot. Sony Ericsson indicated a retail price before subsidy and taxes of €150 to €200. The phone will be available in Q3 2007.
- K850: Flagship Cyber-shot branded camera phone with a 5.0 MP camera, 2.2 inch screen, tri band 3G WCDMA / HSDPA (850, 1900, 2100Mhz) and quad band GSM / EDGE. Sony Ericsson indicated a retail price before subsidy and taxes of €400 to €450 with the product becoming available in Q4 2007.
- W910: Walkman phone with a slider form factor. Features a 2.4 inch, 262k colour TFT screen, 3G WCDMA (2100Mhz) and quad band GSM / EDGE. It will ship with a 1GB M2 memory card. Sony Ericsson indicated a retail price before subsidy and taxes of €450 to €500. The W910 will start shipping in Q4 2007.
- W960: Walkman phone using Symbian / UIQ platform. The W960 has a 2.6 inch 262k colour TFT touchscreen and 8GB of built in memory (no additional memory slot). It is a 3G WCDMA (2100Mhz) and quad band GSM / GPRS device and also supports WiFi (wireless LAN) with shipments starting in Q4 2007. Sony Ericsson indicated a retail price before subsidy and taxes of over €500.
Sony Ericsson also announced a new range of accessories including three Bluetooth watches, a new music desk stand and several new stereo handsfree headsets including the HGE-100 with integrated GPS (Global Positioning System) support.
