Sony Ericsson Takes Conservative Approach to Music Services

On 24 September 2008, Sony Ericsson launched PlayNow plus, a music subscription service that allows unlimited access to millions of tracks. The service will launch with Telenor in Sweden during the fourth quarter of 2008, and in the rest of the world in 2009. PlayNow plus will be available with a special edition W902 phone, which will come with 1,000 popular tracks installed. At the end of the subscription, users can keep up to 300 tracks.
