At Nokia's Capital Markets Day on 11 February 2011, CEO Stephen Elop unveiled a strategic partnership with Microsoft. As part of the agreement, Nokia will use Windows Phone 7 rather than Symbian as its primary smartphone platform, and scale back its plans for the MeeGo operating system. It will also work to combine its Ovi services with Microsoft offerings such as Bing and Xbox Live. The two companies have yet to sign a final agreement.
