Rumours circulate regarding a “Google Phone” but reference design is likely scenario

Speculation is growing that Google is developing its own mobile phone according to reports in Reuters and the Wall Street Journal. These reports cite various technology blogs and websites.

The rumours were further fuelled by a comment from Google’s head of Iberian operations in which she stated that the company “has been investigating” developing a mobile phone.

Google has refused to officially comment on the speculation stating that “mobile is an important area for Google… however we have nothing further to announce.”
