RIM Shuffles Board, But New Strategy Is Not on the Cards

On 22 January 2012, Research In Motion (RIM) named Thorsten Heins as president and CEO, replacing co-CEOs and co-chairmen Mike Lazaridis and Jim Balsillie. Mr Lazaridis will become vice chair of the board and lead a new Innovation Committee. Mr Balsillie remains a director of the company. Barbara Stymiest assumes the position of chair of the board.
