On 3 August 2011, Research In Motion (RIM) unveiled new mobile devices. The BlackBerry Torch 9810 is a refreshed variant of the Torch 9800, which was unveiled in September 2010. The BlackBerry Torch 9850 and 9860 (which are CDMA and quad-band GSM variants) are full-touch devices with 3.7-inch screens. The new devices all feature 1.2 GHz processors, 720p HD video capture and upgraded graphics, which RIM has branded as Liquid Graphics. RIM claims it is delivering its largest global launch ever, with more than 225 operators and distribution partners involved in certifying these new devices.
