On 1 June 2009 Orange UK unveiled a number of new mobile tariffs aimed at the lower end of the market. Priced at £5, £10 and £15 a month, the 36-month plans give customers a handset when they take out a contract and another after 18 months. Orange is also introducing 18-month SIM-only contracts for the first time. Starting from £10 and rising to £30 a month, these will provide more inclusive minutes and text messages than existing Orange SIM-only contracts. SIM-only contract customers will also be eligible for Orange's Magic Numbers scheme, which provides inclusive, unlimited calls to nominated Orange mobile numbers. The new tariffs are available immediately.
