On 22 September 2011 OnLive, a provider of cloud-based games, signalled the commercial launch of its service in the UK. For a monthly fee of £6.99, subscribers can play more than 100 games on a variety of Internet-connected devices. Titles in this PlayPack range include Fear 3, Homefront, Batman: Arkham Asylum and Saints Row 2, with F1 2011 and Football Manager 2012 due "soon". Individual games can also be rented or purchased.
In addition, BT has announced that it has signed an agreement to offer its broadband subscribers three months' free access to OnLive's PlayPack service. The offer runs until the end of January 2012. OnLive traffic will not count toward usage allowances until 2 January 2012.
