On 8 October 2008, Orange unveiled a package of movie channels for subscribers to its broadband, IPTV and mobile services in France. Available from 13 November, the series of five channels will cost €12 a month for movies viewed on TVs and PCs and €6 a month for portable video players. Support for watching content on mobile phones will be added soon. One channel will feature high-definition versions of current blockbusters, with the other four channels dedicated to independent cinema, classic films, action movies and family viewing. The service will offer its subscribers more than 1,200 films, 1,000 hours of TV series, 200 documentaries and 300 hours of children's series a year. Programmes will be available on demand for 30 days after the first broadcast.
