On 10 June 2010, O2 announced a revised set of data tariffs for new and upgrading mobile customers in the UK. It will introduce them on the same day as the iPhone 4 becomes available, 24 June.
Customers will have a choice of "smartphone tariff plans" with a bundled data allocation of 500MB, 750MB or 1GB, depending on the total monthly fee, which ranges from £25 to £60. Further Bolt On data bundles will be available for subscribers exceeding these limits. They will be priced at £5 for 500MB and £10 for 1GB. New and upgrading customers will be offered unlimited data until 1 October 2010; the new limits will apply after that date. Customers will continue to receive unlimited Wi-Fi access through The Cloud and BT Openzone hot spots. Existing subscribers will remain under current terms, which include unlimited data access, subject to an excessive usage policy.
