Nokia's Messaging Trio Aims to Take Social Networks into Mass Market

On 13 April 2010 Nokia unveiled three new messaging phones: the C3, C6 and E5. They all feature full qwerty keyboards and are optimised for e-mail and social networking. The C6 and E5 run Symbian and feature five-megapixel cameras, Wi-Fi and GPS. The retail prices of the C6 and E5 before tax and subsidy will be €220 and €180 respectively.
The C3 is Nokia's first Series 40 qwerty device. It comes with a highly competitive price of €90 before tax and subsidy. The device features EDGE and Wi-Fi connectivity and a two-megapixel camera, and will be available in three colours; golden white, slate grey and hot pink. The C6 and C3 are scheduled to begin shipping in 2Q10, with the E5 expected in 3Q10.
