Nokia Reveals Details of Unlimited Comes With Music Service

On 2 October 2008, Nokia formally launched its Comes With Music product. Offering unlimited access to the Nokia Music Store, Comes With Music will be available on a range of Nokia phones, starting with the 5310 MusicXpress and N95 8GB. After buying a phone with a Comes With Music licence, users can download unlimited tracks onto that device. They can also download songs onto a specified PC, play them on the PC or transfer them to the phone. At the end of the licence period, users can keep listening to all downloaded tracks on their Comes With Music phone or nominated PC.

The Comes With Music edition of the 5310 XpressMusic will launch in the UK on 16 October 2008. Carphone Warehouse has secured exclusive rights to sell the phone as a prepaid product in the UK until the end of the year. The Comes With Music edition of the 5310 Xpress Music will cost £129.95 including a 12-month licence. The N95 8GB will be offered as a contract phone with a 12-month or 18-month licence. Exact pricing of this phone was not revealed at the launch event. Nokia intends to bundle Comes With Music with other phones in 2009, including the touch-screen 5800 XpressMusic.
