Nokia Enters Touch-Screen Market with Competitively Priced Music Phone

On 2 October 2008, Nokia revealed its long-anticipated Nokia 5800 XpressMusic phone. The device features a touch screen, GPS receiver and 3.2-megapixel autofocus camera with dual LED flash. It can connect to 3G and Wi-Fi networks and sports a 3.5mm audiovisual socket and a microSD card slot. The 5800 XpressMusic phone will start shipping this quarter in Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Russia, Spain, Taiwan and the United Arab Emirates and in other markets in the first quarter of 2009.
