Nokia Does U-Turn and Makes Ovi Maps Navigation Free

On 21 January 2010, Nokia announced it would make turn-by-turn navigation and travel guides free on its Ovi Maps service, with immediate effect. It will release a new version of the Ovi Maps application for 10 Symbian-powered smartphones that includes voice guidance for driving and walking at no extra cost. The new version can download mapping and navigation for 74 countries, in 46 languages, and traffic information for more than 10 countries.
