Nokia Buys Novarra to Revive Internet Experiences on Series 40

Nokia announced on 26 March 2010 that it had agreed to acquire all of the outstanding shares in Novarra, an Illinois-based company with about 100 staff that provides a mobile browser and server-side Internet services. The deal is expected to close in the second quarter of 2010. Novarra was previously venture-funded with investments from JK&B Capital, Qualcomm, Fort Washington Capital Partners, Kettle Partners and Colorado Investment Securities.
