New Wholesale Model Will Accelerate LTE Roll-Out in Russia

On 3 March 2011, mobile broadband company Yota signed an agreement with four Russian telecom companies to become their wholesale LTE network provider. The country's three largest mobile operators — Beeline, MegaFon and MTS — and state-owned fixed-line carrier Rostelecom all have an option to buy a stake in Yota in 2014. The agreement was witnessed by the Russian prime minister, Vladimir Putin.
