Motorola delivers record results as RAZR sales continue to surge

Motorola reached an all time record for phone sales in the second quarter of 2006 shipping 51.9 million phones – an increase of 12.5% quarter on quarter.

Key highlights:

  • Seventh consecutive market share gain reaching 22 percent share worldwide (Motorola estimate)
  • Very strong performance in North and Latin America
  • Continued strong sales of RAZR with 50 million units sold to date
