Mobile TV Players Should Look East

On 11 August 2008, the Polish media reported that the country's four mobile network operators were working to create a consortium that will bid for a licence to operate mobile TV services. The four operators — Centertel, P4, Polkomtel and PTC — will each take a quarter-stake in the consortium, which will bid in a government auction of a DVB-H licence later in 2008. Broadcasts are expected to start in early 2009.
