Maemo Summit Confirms Platform's Place in Nokia's Future

The second annual Maemo Summit took place in Amsterdam from 9 to 11 October 2009. Hosted by Nokia and largely organised by the Maemo community of developers, the summit attracted almost 400 delegates. At the event, Nokia revealed some of the philosophy behind its open-source Maemo operating system and gave developers a preview of the forthcoming Maemo-based N900 device. It also announced the availability of its Qt development for Maemo 5.
