Intel Commits to Cellular Integration with Infineon WLS Purchase

News

On 30 August 2010, Intel announced its pending acquisition of Infineon's Wireless Solutions business (WLS) in a $1.4 billion all-cash transaction. Intel emphasized that WLS will continue to operate as a standalone entity. Intel expects to close the transaction in 1Q11.
