On 4 August 2009, Inq Mobile, a subsidiary of Hutchison Whampoa, launched two new handsets optimised for social networking. Following the successful Inq1, the Inq Chat 3G and Inq Mini 3G extend the portfolio by adding two new designs. The Inq Chat 3G incorporates a full qwerty keyboard, 3.2 megapixel camera and GPS while the Inq Mini 3G is a candy-bar device with a two-megapixel camera. Both devices support HSDPA and integrate social networking and Internet applications including Facebook, Twitter, Skype and Windows Live Messenger. Software from doubleTwist enables users to synchronise media with iTunes and Windows Media Player libraries. Both devices are scheduled for availability in the fourth quarter of 2009.
