Growing Focus on Ovi Prompts Nokia to Rethink Enterprise Strategy

On 29 September 2008, Nokia announced it will end the development and marketing of "behind the firewall" mobility and security products. Such products include its Intellisync e-mail and synchronisation software. Nokia said the technology and expertise associated with mobility products will be reallocated to its consumer push e-mail service. The security appliance business will be sold to a financial investor.

On 30 September 2008, Nokia announced it is to buy OZ Communications, a privately held company with about 220 employees, headquartered in Montreal, Canada. OZ Communications is a provider of consumer mobile messaging solutions, including instant messaging and e-mail.
