On 16 November 2011 Google announced the formal launch of its music service. Google Music allows users to upload their own music tracks and play them on a range of devices, as well as buy tracks in a store in Android Market. Tracks purchased through Android Market are automatically synchronised with a Google Music account. The store will feature exclusive tracks, free downloads and a site dedicated to independent artists. Google Music is currently only available in the US.
