Google Music Makes Unremarkable Start in Bid to Expand Services

On 16 November 2011 Google announced the formal launch of its music service. Google Music allows users to upload their own music tracks and play them on a range of devices, as well as buy tracks in a store in Android Market. Tracks purchased through Android Market are automatically synchronised with a Google Music account. The store will feature exclusive tracks, free downloads and a site dedicated to independent artists. Google Music is currently only available in the US.
