French market makes tentative steps towards number portability

News:

The French telecoms regulator has introduced new rules making it possible for French mobile users to transfer their existing mobile phone number from one network to another with 10 days notice.

Under these new regulations the network operator chosen by the customer will be responsible for ensuring that the number is switched over during the 10 day period.
