At its Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco on 6 June 2011, Apple announced Mac OS X Lion, iOS 5 and iCloud. The new version of OS X is heavily influenced by iOS, with provision for multi-touch gestures and integrated support of Apple's App Store among many other features. OS X Lion will be available in July only through the App Store, for $29.99. The update to the iOS platform, which powers iPhones, iPads and iPod touch devices, contained more than 200 new or improved features. It will be available "in the fall" as a free download. The free iCloud service allows users to back up data and synchronise it with up to 10 Apple devices that support the service. It will store and synchronise music tracks, photos, apps, books, documents, contacts, e-mail and calendar items.
