On 7 January 2013, AT&T announced plans to launch a subscription video-streaming service. The U-verse Screen Pack costs $5 a month and is only available to users who have signed up to the company's U-verse pay-TV service. The catalogue offers about 1,500 movies from Sony Pictures and MGM Studios. AT&T expects to offer more titles, including newer releases and TV shows.
